Historic Home Plaques
In 2008, the Terrace Park Historical Society launched a building marker plaque program. Only those homes built in or before 1920 or built in a significant style such as Gunnison, Sears, or International, are eligible to receive this special plaque. These plaques were created with the assistance of a local designer and are crafted from bronze specifically for the Terrace Park Historical Society. They are 8X10 in size and the Historical Society's logo is featured along with any text and the circa date that applies to the historic house. The plaques are currently available at a reduced cost of $275.00 for non members and $250.00 for members because they are underwritten by the Society. The Historical Society will underwrite this program until Spring of 2010 to ensure that as many homeowners as possible will be able to participate. After that time, the cost of the plaques will be changed to reflect their actual price, currently $350.00 for non members and $325.00 for members.
If you would like to know if your home is eligible to receive a plaque, please contact the Terrace Park Historical Society Office at 248-1777, through the website, or info@tphistoricalsociety.org. We thank you for your interest in this important program which recognizes significant homes in our Village and welcome any questions you may have.
